Four Years Later, Obamacare Is Still A Complete Disaster

On the fourth anniversary of the passage of Obamacare, Bobby Schilling, Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in the Illinois 17th District, released the following statement:

"Four years ago, Obamacare was rushed through Congress by one political party with no input from the other. Promises were made to the American people that haven't been kept. Obamacare was supposed to provide insurance to 30 million uninsured Americans, allow everyone else to keep their health care plans, and lower health care costs. Unfortunately, none of that turned out to be true.

"Millions of Americans have lost their health care coverage, and millions more are facing skyrocketing insurance premiums and higher deductibles that they simply can't afford. Even worse, Obamacare ends Medicare as we know it by cutting more than $700 billion from the program. Now seven million seniors are set to lose their Medicare Advantage coverage over the next three years.

"Congresswoman Bustos avoids talking about Obamacare here at home, but she has made it clear to her special interest paymasters in Washington, D.C. that she will do whatever it takes to protect it. She will not back down on this.

"Bustos is waging war on middle class families. Now it's time for us to fight back. It's time to send the people's voice to Washington, D.C.
